Summerstrand Hotel recently had the honour of welcoming Prince William and Prince Harry to the hotel for their last night of Enduro 2008! Please click the read more link for the full story & pics! Summerstrand fit for Kings (to be)... Enduro Africa is a unique and challenging motorcycle adventure in aid of 4 amazing causes - UNICEF, Sentebale – The Princes' Fund for Lesotho, the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and Touch Africa Enduro Africa is a joint project between Red Cherry Adventures in Port Elizabeth and Enduro Africa. Beginner and expert riders spent 8 adventurous days doing a trail through the Eastern Cape. Riders had to raise sponsorship to cover their costs and also to secure a donation for the charities. Summerstrand Hotel had the privilege of assisting in this exciting and exhilarating event by having the Enduro riders staying with us. Our contribution towards this event is a matched donation of 35% of the total bill to a local charity. One of the charities to benefit is Sentebale – The Prince’s fund for Lesotho, which was founded by Prince Harry and Lesotho’s Prince Seeiso in memory of their mothers who campaigned to help victims of HIV/Aids. This is the reason that we had the honour of welcoming Prince William and Prince Harry to the Summerstrand Hotel recently for their last night of Enduro 2008.     |
